10 Small Business Blogs You Should Be Following – Part 2

Last week we took a look at 5 small business blogs that are worth reading – here are 5 more that will help you stay up-to-date on the latest developments in small business, as well as provide tips and advice on growing and managing your business.

StartupNation’s business blog offers commentary and information from a variety of industry experts, including founders Rich and Jeff Sloan. Topics covered run the gamut, from business financing and technology to inventing and life planning. In addition to the blog, the StartupNation website also features  podcasts, ebooks, an online community of over 130,000, and much more.

On Small Business

The Washington Post’s small business blog On Small Business provides the latest information on trends, regulations, and policies affecting small businesses. Local small business news is also covered, and the blog also provides advice, commentary, and opinions on a range of topics.

You’re the Boss

As with the On Small Business blog, You’re the Boss, the New York Times’ small business blog, features the latest small business news, trends, and tactics, written by industry experts. Blog authors also monitor political and policy issues that impact small business, as well offer investing tips.

Ramon Ray of Infusionsoft writes the SmallBizTechnology blog, which is aimed at helping small businesses understand technology and use it to their advantage. Topics covered are varied, and include social media, ecommerce, security, collaboration, software, and mobile communications. The blog also sponsors various events such as the Annual Small Business Summit, the Small Business Influencer Awards (co-sponsored with Small Business Trends), and the annual Small Business Technology Tour.

Aimed at – you guessed it – entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneur blog is the online, interactive offshoot of Entrepreneur magazine. In addition to the blog, the website features business profiles, success stories, how-to guides, an online bookstore, and Inspiration Station, where business owners can connect with others and get inspired.

We’ve just covered the tip of the iceberg when it comes to small business blogs – just search on  Google and you’re sure to find plenty more that will help you grow and manage your business. If you’ve got a favorite that we missed, let us know in the comments below!

Thanks for the list, Lori! I have been following Entrepreneur for awhile now, but StartupNation and On Small Business look to be great resources as well.
