Successful Email Campaign Examples

I could talk for days about email marketing. There is so much work that goes into these little beauties and with that comes the potential for a lot of success or the potential for a lot of mistakes. There are tons of different strategies your small business can take to bring in the huge return on investment that email marketing has the potential for. All of the blog posts for this week will be focused on helping your business get the most out of your email marketing efforts. To begin, today I just want to show you a few examples of some successful email campaigns and why they worked.

1. UncommonGoods Mothers’s Day Email:

This email was a huge success because the email was able to create a sense of urgency without being pushy. As you have probably heard from us time and time again, calls-to-action should be used to create a sense of urgency in your customers. However, what sets Uncommon Goods apart here is how they personalized it to their customer. Being a man who forgets things all the time, seeing this email probably been a good reminder that mother’s day is coming up!

2. Your Kitchen Store – Friday the 13th:

Creativity plays big in email marketing. You have to remember that your customers receive A TON of emails every day. Anything your business can do to stand out from the rest is a huge step up over your competition. Come up with fun discounts, events, and/or special sales, anything that differentiates your from the competition and makes you seem like a fun business that customers will want to visit.

3.  Salt House Inn: Book Now Email

The first thing you notice about this email is the beautiful images. Well obviously this business paid a ton of money to have professional photos taken for their email.¬†Or did they? Take a closer look at that telltale perfectly square image. That’s right. Those images were taken directly from the Salt House Inn Instagram account! The point here is that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to make your emails beautiful. Use the resources already at your disposal and spice up your emails!

 

The point here with these examples is to show you that email marketing is simple, relatively cheap and, when used the right way, can bring your business a huge return on investment! This week we will be focusing on all of the strategies and metrics you need to find success in this realm of email marketing!

    Hi there. I was wondering how these emails were “successful”? Do you have any open rates, click rates, sales etc that demonstrate that these emails were actually successful? Just wondering what the criteria was. Thanks.
